Call for Submissions: Gerber Technology FashionTech Professional Award:
Gerber Technology in their inaugural year with ITAA is conducting an essay contest whose winner will receive an award of a subscription of Gerber Software and training valued at $20,000. The award will go to the member of the Instructor, Professional-Faculty level of ITAA who best demonstrates the use of technology to inspire and encourage students’ innovative and creative product design and development.
Contestants must submit a 500-1000 word essay describing how they and their school utilized advancements in technology to inspire their students over the last 18 months and the resulting student project(s). The essays must be single-authored and submitted by 11:59 p.m. CDT, October 13, 2017 and be addressed to email@example.com (subject line: ITAA Gerber Essay Contest). Essays will be judged by a panel of Gerber Technology employees and industry experts. Photographs and/or videos of the inspiration, the design and development process and the resulting product are allowed as supporting evidence. The award will be presented at the ITAA 2017 annual conference. The award winner grants Gerber Technology the right to use the submission, photographs and an interview to publish press release(s) and for use on social media. Should the award winner fail to use the award in the manner specified by Gerber Technology, it will be offered to the selected runner-up.

Call for Submissions: Bloomsbury Publishing Fashion Business Cases. Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for ITAA members to write business case studies about the fashion, textiles and cosmetics industries for a forthcoming online educational resource. We are particularly interested in cases relevant to today’s global fashion industry – about fashion in all regions of the world and across variety of sub-sectors. Cases can range from 1,000 to 7,000 words in length, and can be aimed at introductory to advanced levels. Cases can be written about real-life or fictional companies, and they can be based on primary and secondary research or direct field research. All cases will be editorial and peer reviewed.
