ITAA FELLOW
Colleagues and associates are encouraged to nominate an ITAA member for Fellow. This is the highest award bestowed upon ITAA members. An ITAA Fellow shall be an active, reserve, or emeritus ITAA member whom the Association desires to honor for significant contributions to the field of textiles and clothing and/or service within ITAA.
HA-BROOKSHIRE DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR
The Ha-Brookshire Distinguished Scholar is awarded to a current member of ITAA who as attained professional recognition and conduct in terms of continuous and valuable contributions to scholarship in the field and substantial scholarly contributions to the field as evidenced by any or a combination of research, theory, teaching pedagogy, publications, creative endeavors, and/or work promoting public policy.
ITAA MID-CAREER EXCELLENCE AWARD
ITAA Mid-Career Excellence Award is to recognize excellent scholarly achievements made by mid-career professionals since their last promotion. Candidates for this award should typically be in the mid-career stage at the Associate Professor level or functioning at that rank in an academic setting and must have an established record of productive, independent, and impactful peer-reviewed research and creative scholarship activities at the time of application.
ITAA TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARD
ITAA Teaching Excellence Award is given to recognize leadership and contribution to undergraduate and graduate education. This award is open to all ranks. The candidate must be a member of ITAA and have at least 5 years of teaching experience as a full-time faculty member at the time of nomination.
ITAA SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD
ITAA Service Excellence Award is to recognize sustained service to the ITAA organization, which may include a combination of reviewing conference submissions, active committee membership, conference responsibilities, and other service contributions to ITAA. This is to recognize ITAA members who work tirelessly for ITAA before they are recognized as ITAA fellows.
ITAA RISING STAR AWARD
The ITAA Rising Star Award is intended to recognize faculty who teach, research (either written or creative), and conduct service in the area of Textiles and Apparel. This award is intended for junior faculty members who are untenured in a tenure-track faculty position. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching, research/scholarly work, outreach/engagement and service that is commensurate with his/her faculty appointment.
ITAA industry EXCELLENCE AWARD
We are thrilled to introduce the ITAA Industry Excellence Award, a prestigious honor celebrating companies—both for-profit and nonprofit—for their outstanding contributions to the textile and apparel field. This award recognizes organizations that have significantly contributed to strengthening partnerships between academia and the industry, with a focus on teaching, research, and professional development initiatives.
JANET ELSE VISITING SCHOLAR AWARD
The Janet Else Visiting Scholar or Practitioner Award's purpose is to actively reach out to scholars and practitioners in areas of the world that are under-represented in terms of ITAA membership, thereby promoting the ITAA beyond North America and bringing knowledge and skills from outside North America to the ITAA membership.
